8-Steps to Yumminess

We know how much you love the convenience of grabbing a pie or quiche to go any of our city-wide stockists, but did you know that you can bake-up brEAThe Kitchen goodness at home so easily?

Once ordered, all our offerings are delivered frozen? Place straight into the freezer and know that are ready to bake when you are ready to eat them!  

After so many months of take-out don’t you deserve a homecooked meal? Get ready to get back in the kitchen with our easy-to-follow instructions on how to prepare and devour a delicious homemade meal!

Let’s begin with the basics. Preheat your oven to 180°C/350°F. Take your soon-to-be dinner out of the freezer and place into a baking tray with parchment paper or an oven-safe pie plate. If you pie came already in a paper tray, do not remove, and place pie with paper tray into/onto your tray/plate.

Cook in the centre of the oven for the recommended time or until piping hot and golden brown.

Apple Pie:
5” Personal for 35 minutes / Gluten-free for 30 minutes
8” Full Size for 45 minutes / Gluten-free for 40 minutes

Quiche:
5” Personal/Mini for 35 minutes / Gluten-free for 30 minutes
9” Full Size for 50 minutes / Gluten-free for 40 minutes
11” Family Size for 60 minutes / Gluten-free for 50 minutes

Savoury Pies:
5” Personal for 40-50 minutes / Gluten-free for 40 minutes
8” Full Size for 50 minutes / Gluten-free for 50 minutes

Our founder and head chef Daphna has a few little extras she wants to share with you to ensure your brEAThe Kitchen experience is amazing!

* For savoury pies a nice colour is so appealing to the eye, so before baking brush with your choice of milk alternative such as aquafaba (canned chickpea liquid), olive oil, or soy sauce.For apple pie, brush with non-dairy milk and brown sugar.

* Try baking the brEAThe Kitchen quiches a beforehand (day or half-day) and let rest In the fridge. This helps the flavour stabilize, and the taste comes out even better.

* Let the pies and quiches rest before serving as they taste the best warm or just slightly warm.

Enjoy your wonderful homecooked meal and remember that all cooking appliances vary so timings are to be used as a guideline only and please adjust times accordingly.
